Concordia Publishing House Launches Gospel Outreach Web Site

Saint Louis, MO—Concordia Publishing House (CPH). As part of a corporate-wide initiative to re-energize the efforts of Concordia Gospel Outreach (CGO), a new Web site featuring program details and opportunities to donate has launched at www.concordiaoutreach.org.

Concordia Gospel Outreach is a mission-ministry of Concordia Publishing House that connects Christian people with opportunities to proclaim the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ through contributions and programs that distribute resources for evangelism worldwide.

“The story of Concordia Gospel Outreach is the story of the CPH mission,” shares Dr. Bruce G. Kintz, President and Chief Executive Officer for the company. “The new Web site connects people across the Church with important opportunities to support the faith stories of others across the country and world. CPH is proud to provide the very best resources to support churches, schools, missions, and organizations at work to proclaim the message of Jesus Christ.”

The Web site includes information about how to donate to the program. The Concordia Gospel Outreach General Fund is designed to respond to unforeseen resource requests that are received several times each year. Program-specific funds for Vacation Bible School and Portales de Oracion, the Spanish-language version of Portals of Prayer are available; and donations can also be directed to support the CPH Disaster Resource Recovery fund.

“The Concordia Disaster Replacement policy has been a part of CPH operations since 2005,” says Gretchen M. Jameson, Public Relations manager. “When a church in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod experiences a loss of printed CPH materials as a result of a natural disaster, CPH works with that congregation’s district to replace necessary materials. This CGO fund will support those efforts.”

“CPH is a non-profit, and so all profits are reinvested in the development of new resources for the church,” Jameson explains. “CGO provides our customers an intentional, coordinated way to help us channel CPH products and services to many more people who need to hear about the love of Jesus—whether in neighborhoods close to home, or around the world.”
